Another unfortunate victim to the pandemic was this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. HHN 2020 was their 30th anniversary.
The virus has already put a hold on Universal’s new project – Epic Universe. This would have been Universal’s 4th theme park added to central Florida.
Universal will be open to daytime guests and are working on creating more grande celebration next year.
This news also comes after a coronavirus related incident in which a man had died 2 weeks after visiting both Disney and Universal.
Disney has since increased efforts to keep customers wearing masks at their theme parks. Disney canceled their annual After-Hours Halloween party and Mickey’s not so scary party last month in June.
Both theme parks have wrestled with opening vs the growing concerns over rapidly increasing numbers of infections in the state of Florida. With numerous Attractions, Concerts and Festivals announcing closures this year, it has been a bummer for fans who love live experience pleasures. Safety however is always number 1. You can’t rock out if you’re not around next year ~
