Jean is a Writer, Photographer, Artist, Editor and Creator of Haunted Emporium Magazine. She has 3 unusual cats and a want to be serial killer Chiweenie – who loves the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Her previous work includes writing for HauntedIllinois.com, Haunted Attraction Magazine and filming behind the scenes videos for fans at Statesville Haunted Prison, Terror in the Graveyard, along with numerous events and festivals in the area.
The goal was to look for a creative way to present information that was being missed in the industry at the time. Something fans would both learn from and enjoy watching.
If she’s not at a con or checking out music, you’ll often find Jean studying astrology in the Sierra desert with her wild beasties or getting “lost” on an adventure in the city.
Jean is also an entrepreneur and enjoys a good challenge. Focusing on solid foundations equates to a business that sees consistent growth. This theory has now been tested and proven twice, at both VFN and Haunted Emporium.
She believes in the strength and beauty of creatives, reading is power and that life is an adventure, provided that it’s balanced with a healthy diet of Halloween and horror movies!
She has a home haunt that she enjoys creating her own props for.
