The Forge & Lemont come together to create North America’s largest adventure park

The Village and Township of Lemont are partnering with The Forge Music Club to create the biggest adventure park in North America.

The Forge: Lemont Quarries Adventure Park is scheduled to open this May and will feature 300 acres of free-standing towers for patrons to climb and navigate. Those who love life in the fast lane can enjoy the longest zipline in the tri-state area.

The park will also feature an outdoor mountain bike trek, climbing wall, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boats. With all flavors of outdoor adventures being served, we will be checking it out this year.

WGN reported that the partnership includes plans to entice over 1 million visitors to the historic area annually.
Park is scheduled to open this May

It’s been amazing to watch the progression – and more acceptance of the benefits that it brings to the area. I enjoy haunted houses, live music, ramblings, journalism, photography and adventures. I recycle/ redesign furniture and make Halloween props. I do a home haunt, and enjoy conventions and films. I make my own costumes, so if I get an opportunity to dress up, I’m happy. You’ll often find me biking or wondering around downtown with the look of awe that I’ve had since being a child. I believe in supporting both local and talent that travels through the area. The Emporium was designed as a contribution to the community.
