Illinois & Indiana rank 4th & 5th with Haunted Attraction Numbers

Haunted Emporium Magazine checks out Midwest Haunters Convention

Illinois and Indiana have yet another competition going this year, and that is in the number of haunted attractions listed for this current 2019 season.

This year, Illinois hit the number 4 slot with a count of 98. Indiana hit close with 2 less at 96.
The numbers for large Haunted Attractions in Illinois have not fluctuated much over the last few years. 

This body count generally includes top rated and larger attractions, not including the numerous home haunts sprinkled around both states that welcome visitors who love horror.

Lombard. Mother of two young adults. Creator and Editor of Haunted Emporium Magazine. I love the horror and collective art scene here in Chicago. It’s been amazing to watch the progression – and more acceptance of the benefits that it brings to the area. I enjoy haunted houses, live music, ramblings, journalism, photography and adventures. I recycle/ redesign furniture and make Halloween props. I do a home haunt, and enjoy conventions and films. I make my own costumes, so if I get an opportunity to dress up, I’m happy. You’ll often find me biking or wondering around downtown with the look of awe that I’ve had since being a child. I believe in supporting both local and talent that travels through the area. The Emporium was designed as a contribution to the community.
