It’s generally not a Chicago summer without a trip to Huntington Bank Pavillion at Northerly Island. Digging a show surrounded by what is one of Chicago’s best skyline views makes for a perfect evening. The Covid outbreak has created a need to take a pause on hosting live music events in the Chicago area.

Mic Jenkins and The Adler Planetarium have designed a safe way to help fill in that gap. The two have partnered together to create The Lakeshore Drive In which will feature a series of live concerts and comedy events in the Planetarium’s parking lot.

Their mission is to Revive Chicago’s Live Experience Industry by putting gigs in the hands of industry professionals. The Lakeshore Drive In will combine local talent with national leaders for a truly unique experience.

The experience – and the view – however do not not come cheap. Better to split the costs with a group of friends. Admission prices range between $110 and $170 per carload, which includes up to 6 passengers.
