The Aragon Ballroom changes it’s name

The Aragon “Brawlroom” is one of Chicago’s staples for live music. Located in the Uptown neighborhood, The Aragon is just one of the beautiful buildings that still stand and host entertainment in the area. Built in 1926, the interior reflects a Spanish village. It is said that The Green Mill had tunnels that Capone and gangsters would use between the two buildings during prohibition. Not too difficult to believe.

In fact, you can still grab a martini at the Green Mill – which is down the street from The Aragon and step back in time for a small period.

Byline Bank is sponsoring The Aragon. Can a Chicagoan pronounce all of this in one shot? Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom?  Probably not. But it is appreciated by the community. There have already been improvements to the marquee prior to the announcement. Looking forward to what’s to come.
