[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Welcome Fiends! – to a new experience in Journalism. Our creatures –  born in 2015 – have been inspiring and captivating audiences in ways that continue to transcend traditional boundaries. Our goal is to create a vibrant community that celebrates the dark and exhilarating synergies of the rich history of Chicago’s music scene with horror’s spine tingling elements which we so lovingly embrace.
From its legendary blues roots to its thriving punk, metal, dance, rap and (the numerous list of many much too expansive to call out here) alternative subcultures. The addition of a never ending list of boxes that properly specify creative brilliance is often a determent to those curious to explore new tunes. Haunted Emporium Magazine was created as a melting pot of creativity and new adventures sparked by exploration of various imaginations. Over the years, we have featured in-depth interviews with musicians, artists and industry insiders who have helped to shape our reality.  By pushing their creative boundaries and defining new experiences for fans, we have been the fortunate on new adventures in immersive entertainment.
Diving into haunting melodies, thundering riffs, and spine-tingling lyrics that make our city’s music scene truly unique.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Haunted Emporium Magazine is Woman owned and curated. The Magazine was born as an escape from creatures attempting to stifle various points of view and a love of horror. Extremely fond memories of my father taking us to see Dawn of the Dead at the drive in for it’s first release. The magic of the unexpected, the fear (finally) and amazement at the special effects created on a “zero” budget. Haunted Houses, Home Haunts, DIY followed.  Later in life I wrote for HauntedIllinois.com and Haunted Attraction Magazine. Going back and chatting with Tom Savini about his inspiration and how the effects were created.
This interview not only inspired numerous Halloween creations, also the hunger for more knowledge. Since, we have spoken with artists who have also broken our of barriers with their creations in art, music, haunts, films..this list can continue on. It is fascinating to hear thought processes, authenticity and how their magic comes together for us as audiences being entranced.
I hope that you enjoy your time spent at the Emporium and return for more of our goodies. Wish to leave feedback, suggestions or tell your story? Email me and I will respond.

Happy Halloween ~[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”4331″ img_size=”520px x 420px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
