Statesville Haunted Prison

Statesville Haunted Prison is one of the top Haunted Attractions in the Chicagoland area. The attraction was built on farmland in Lockport, and is an intense ride.
Actors here go to many extremes to get scares from their visitors, and visitors love this attraction. With thousands coming through their doors each season – it has been consistently one of the most successful attractions to date.

In this video, we speak to John LaFlamboy, who is ringmaster of the Prison, along with some of his inmates. I wanted to spotlight how dedicated the actors are at this attraction. Statesville has won numerous awards and nationwide notoriety, and sees thousands of dedicated fans through their doors each Halloween Season.

Please keep in mind – this video was done on a zero budget. Mostly wanted to get out there and start filming what others were not doing at that time – and make something entertaining without that factor hindering progress.

Halloween Jean

Lombard. Mother of two young adults. Creator and Editor of Haunted Emporium Magazine. I love the horror and collective art scene here in Chicago. It’s been amazing to watch the progression – and more acceptance of the benefits that it brings to the area. I enjoy haunted houses, live music, ramblings, journalism, photography and adventures. I recycle/ redesign furniture and make Halloween props. I do a home haunt, and enjoy conventions and films. I make my own costumes, so if I get an opportunity to dress up, I’m happy. You’ll often find me biking or wondering around downtown with the look of awe that I’ve had since being a child. I believe in supporting both local and talent that travels through the area. The Emporium was designed as a contribution to the community.
