13th Floor Takes Over Historic Joliet Prison

Midwest Haunters Convention Halloween Jeans

Creepy Creatures like these will roam what once was
the Woman’s section of Historic Joliet Prison.

A real prison experience awaits Haunted House Fans this coming Halloween season. Nationally owned 13th Floor has signed a contract with the city of Joliet to expand their attraction and help expand the area with some hefty taxes.

Now as a haunter, I am a little saddened by this news. Hearing that Evil Intentions may have found a home there initially was quite exciting. It would have a better option to collaborate as opposed to bid against them, as in the example of Siegel Farms competing to toss Statesville’s hat into the ring of options.

For fans this is a fantastic opportunity. The prison, which opened in the 1890’s has housed criminals such as Gacy, Leopold and Leob. It was only in August of 2018 that Joliet announced they would  open the Limestone constraints to the public.

The question of what 13th Floor will plan out for visitors is one to be pondered. Their beautiful displays and creatures have won them many awards. Anxiously awaiting to see these creepies inhabit the prison
